When preparing Aptamil® Pronutra 2, follow the instructions carefully. Improper preparation and storage can lead to health problems due to the growth of undesirable germs. Prepare the food fresh before each meal and feed it immediately. Do not reuse leftover food. Clean the bottle, teat and ring thoroughly. Do not heat infant formula in the microwave (risk of overheating).
- Allow fresh, boiled drinking water to cool to approx. 40°C and pour 2/3 of the required amount of water into the bottle.
- For an accurate dosage of the powder, wipe the enclosed measuring spoon with the back of a knife. Only use the enclosed measuring spoon.
- Pour the required amount of 3 powder into the bottle.
- Close the bottle and shake vigorously vertically for approx. 10 seconds, pour in the remaining amount of drinking water and shake vigorously again.
- Open the bottle and attach the teat. Check bottle contents for drinking temperature (approx. 37°C).
Always close the opened inner bag tightly and use within 4 weeks. Store in a dry place, away from heat.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: BREASTFEEDING IS BEST FOR BABIES.
Nutrition: Exclusive breastfeeding in the first 6 months is ideal for your baby. Like all follow-on formula, Aptamil® Pronutra 2 follow-on formula should not be used as a breast milk substitute in the first 6 months, but only after 6 months as part of a mixed diet. However, your baby's individual growth and development needs may make it necessary to introduce follow-on formulas as part of a mixed diet at an earlier stage. Please seek advice from your pediatrician.
Dental health: All follow-on formulas contain carbohydrates. Frequent and prolonged contact with carbohydrate-containing foods can cause tooth decay. Do not let your child suck on the bottle all the time.
Application: Aptamil® Pronutra 2 is suitable for babies after 6 months and can be given after breastfeeding or after infant formula.
